Travelling to & in the AONB by bus


This useful service follows a meandering route, visiting just about every point between the Railway Station and the village of Silverdale. You will find the service takes in just about everything in the village you will need. The link below takes you to a time-table.

The bus connects with as many trains as possible. There are interactive information points at various points along the route which should be able to give you upto the minute travel information for the service too!

Carnforth Connect Line 1 route

Travel into Arnside and Silverdale Area of outstanding Natural Beauty Carnforth to Milnthorpe via Millhead, Warton Yealand Conyers, Yealand Redmayne, Hale, Slackhead and Beetham.

There are a number of services which serve the AONB, provided by Stagecoach

Services from Kendal to Arnside (552) run every two hours and more frequently from Carnforth to Warton with some services continuing to Yealand Redmayne and Silverdale (55).

For longer journeys, the Lancaster to Keswick 555 service, links Carnforth and Milnthorpe into the wider bus network.
