The Bittern Bus: The AONB Service and Partners work together to support a sunday bus service within the AONB. The route includes initial links from Lancaster and the University and includes considerable parts of the AONB in its journeys. It is an excellent way of getting around and enjoying walks that link with the bus at various stops along the way You can download the leaflet which compliments the bus route. All the walks are linear and include information about places to get refreshments and other points of interest, visitor attractions etc. Click on Bus Walks Leaflet to view, download and print out a copy of the walks leaflet designed to fit in with the route of the Sunday "Bittern Bus".

Silverdale Village Shuttle: This useful service follows a meandering route, visiting just about every point between the Railway Station and the village of Silverdale. You will find the service takes in just about everything in the village you will need. The link below takes you to a time-table. The bus connects with as many trains as possible. There are interactive information points at various points along the route which should be able to give you upto the minute travel information for the service too! Buses - Stagecoach:	There are a number of services which serve the AONB, provided by Stagecoach Click the link below to visit Stagecoach Northwest's website, for news on services and interactive timetable information Stagecoachbus.com	Services from Kendal to Arnside (552) run every two hours and more frequently from Carnforth to Warton with some services continuing to Yealand Redmayne and Silverdale (55). For longer journeys, the Lancaster to Keswick 555 service, links Carnforth and Milnthorpe into the wider bus network.
